This weekend just gone I had a fantastic gig with Get Rhythm at the Shepherd's Hut in Eton Wick, however setting up was once again hampered by torrential rain - just my luck!

On Friday the 9th, I will be playing my first show with The Stereos, an originals band I have recently joined. It should be a great show and we are all really excited/nervous about it (wish us luck). We are playing at the Nags Head pub in High Wycombe along with some other local bands.

I am also in the process of putting together an acoustic project with cajon, guitar and double bass so watch out for future updates about that :)

Danny x

Rain rain, go away!

Hello and welcome to the next installment of my blog. This weekend just gone, I had two gigs with Get Rhythm. The first was a private BBQ held in outside in a garden. Normally, I'm a huge fan of outside gigs as fresh air and sunshine are fantastic while playing a set. This time however, we were setting up in near torrential rain. Once we had eventually managed to waterproof the gazebo we were playing under, all that remained to do was slip and slide our way from the front of the house to the bottom of the garden with all our gear. . .what fun! Bad weather aside, once we were set up and dry(ish) we played well and it was a very enjoyable gig. Thankfully by the time we had finished playing the rain had stopped and the sun came out.

The second gig of the day was at the United Services Club in Dunstable. We had no problem with the weather this time round and the gig was a great success (although I did get slightly lost on the way there) :)

All in all, a great weekend. Now it's practice time :)

Thanks for reading, Dan x

Concert at Parliament Hill. . .

As a first update of many (hopefully more than one post a decade. . .), I'm writing about the 2 gigs I have this weekend.

The first is with Get Rhythm - the '50s and '60s Rock and Roll cover band I play in (http://www.get-rhythm.co.uk/).
